Director of Sales – Wound Care Products

An innovative medical device company specializing in regenerative therapies for wound and tissue repair is seeking a Director of Sales to lead its commercial expansion. With approximately 40 products on the Average Sales Price (ASP) list, the company is uniquely positioned for rapid market penetration and growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on, results-driven leader who thrives on developing new business, opening high-value accounts, and strategically positioning products in a competitive wound care space. A secondary focus will be to strengthen and scale the sales team as market share increases.
Location: National (Remote with Travel)
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop an existing sales team of 12 reps and managers
- Provide sales training, support, and performance coaching as needed
- Drive new business development and account acquisition
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand national market presence
- Identify key decision-makers and cultivate relationships to secure long-term contracts
- Build and manage a high-performing sales pipeline and forecasting model
- Establish strategic partnerships to increase adoption of the company’s advanced wound care portfolio
- Align territory planning and sales goals with overall business strategy
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and changes to LCD/MAC reimbursement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Min. 10+ years of success at the Director level within wound care with a strong focus on business development
- Experience in wound care sales is required, particularly with skin substitutes (office-based selling)
- Seeking candidates with a strong distributor background in wound graft
- Understanding of ASP, LCD and MAC policies and reimbursement processes
- Demonstrated ability to secure high-value accounts and grow market share
- Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as nationally as needed
Offering:
- Base Salary up to $175,000
- Year 1 @ plan up to $350,000 – $375,000
- Car & Phone Allowance
- Benefits stipend $500/month
