Our client is a leading supplier of recreation equipment and they are seeking to hire an Outside Sales Representative to develop sales within the designated territory/region. The targets will include but not limited to: Architectural Contractors, Landscape Contractors, Builders, Housing Complexes/Builders, and Schools/Education (Day Cares, K-12+), Fitness Facilities, Recreation Centers and Retail. As an Outside Sales Rep, you will be prospecting in the field for new prospects as well as building existing relationships (home office). Presentations are made to small and large clients (Lunch and Learns); therefore you possess strong presentation skills. Candidates must be comfortable selling a complex product as well as a longer sales cycle.
Territory: Broward County
Responsibilities:
- Meet / exceed sales goals and overall objectives
- Demonstrate value of products/services through face-to-face meetings to account base within assigned territory
- Prepare presentation for key decision makers based on determined needs of customers
- Identify business opportunities within new and current client base
- Articulate the value proposition of products and services
- Build and maintain client relationships; offer guidance and support throughout the entire sales process
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products/services and market
- Collaborate with other departments, assist development of creative initiatives to meet client needs/requirements and ensure effective project management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Min. 4+ years B2B Sales experience within the Outdoor Recreation and/or Construction industry required
- Experience targeting schools, government (parks and recreation), construction and/or architects
- Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification and JLA badging
- Experience with RFPs, RFIs and RFQs a plus
- Seeking sales backgrounds with experience selling new business as well as relationship sales
- Knowledge/Understanding of specifications, construction plans and take-offs
- Knowledge/Understanding of basic construction
- Excellent presentation skills (small and large groups)
- Documented Sales Success of meeting and achieving sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid experience with CRM (HubSpot, NetSuite), Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to travel within territory
Offering:
- Base $65,000
- Year 1 @ plan $90,000 – $100,000
- Uncapped Commissions
- Expense Package (Mileage, Phone, Internet & Computer)
- Benefits package, 401K & PTO
