Our client is a leading construction contractor representing a number of manufacturers of outdoor recreation equipment and amenities. They are seeking to hire a Director of Construction responsible for leading and motivating a team in completing construction projects. Ensure successful projects from beginning to end including creating project plans, schedules and monitoring project progress. Recognize any possible risks, resolve issues and ensure project quality and on time completion.
Role must report to the office.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team; lead, support and motivate a team, issue assignments and set goals
- Manage daily construction operations; manage and allocate resources and negotiate contracts
- Maintain communication between clients and team as point of contact for clients, providing updates
- Manage projects; develop plans, create schedules/timelines and monitor progress
- Define project scope ensuring projects stay within budget and are completed on time
- Evaluate and review completed projects, noting what worked and what can be improved
- Attend industry events as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Min. 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience
- Experience within the outdoor recreation, site amenities and/or parks & recreation industries a plus
- Experience with construction plans and specifications
- Experience with blueprints; ability to read and understand
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, meet strict deadlines
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving skills
- Strong Project Management and Negotiation skills
- Excellent Organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel to project sites
Offering:
- Base Salary $100,000 – $130,000 (based on experience)
- Expenses: Company Car + expenses & Phone
