My client is a global leader in medical device that develops innovative technologies and solutions for physicians across the world. They are seeking to hire a Technical Support Engineer responsible providing technical support to field service technicians and clients. In this role, you will assist and support field service techs with techniques, methods and make recommendations to reach a solution.  Technical Support Engineer will also be responsible for training new field service engineers on the entire portfolio of devices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to field service techs and clients servicing systems and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting and making repairs
  • Support LAN issues, assist clients online and provide remote troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Technical product training; plan, conduct/implement and follow up
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of trends; report data/findings and potential corrective measures to management
  • Support strategies and continuous improvement of service/support
  • Available for emergency after hours support as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Technical Degree in Electronics / Laser Technology / Optics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Min. 3+ years Technical Support experience within medical device, biotechnology required
  • Experience in remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • LAN configuration and Windows 10 experience
  • Technical aptitude and application of tools, testing equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, TeamViewer, Salesforce, ServiceMax and SAP
  • Minimal travel (approx. 10%) if needed

 

Offering:

  • Base Salary $65,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)
  • Full Benefits Package
